Patriot readers continue answering editor’s call

By CHARLES MELTON

Editor

To say that this past week was a great one for the Mike and Courtnee Stevenson and their brood of six children as part of the Editor’s Challenge.

Although the donations have been coming slower than we here at the Patriot would necessarily like, readers are still stepping up to help make the Stevensons’ dream a reality.

Pages Books in Silverdale will host a fund-raiser for the quints today. Proceeds from today’s book sales will go towards the Quint Foundation. Books make for great birthday presents, and they’re gifts that do truly keep on giving, so mark your calendar and buy at least one book that day.

This week’s donors are:

• $50 Lois E. Gangell

• $5 Anonymous

• $10 Anonymous

• $25 Anonymous

• $100 Anonymous

• $500 Joan Johnson

• $100 Marnie Silbergeld

Total for week ending Feb. 21: $790, Running total: $3,460.

Checks should be made to the Quint Foundation and can be dropped off at any branch of Kitsap Credit Union or Westsound Bank. For more information on the quints, visit www.stevensonquints.com.
