Bremerton Lanes & Casino closed down Monday after a difficult year that saw the closure and reopening of the bowling alley’s casino.

Fliers on the front doors dated Oct. 25 read, “Due to circumstances beyond our control, Bremerton Lanes is now closed. We thank all the league and open bowlers as well as our employees for their support.”

The Bremerton Lanes casino shut down in May, with employees citing a lack of customers. It reopened in August after the City Council reduced taxes on card games from 20 to 10 percent.
