The Washington State University Kitsap Extension will be hosting "Hot Summer Nights," a series of educational farm walks that will showcase sustainable, small acreage farms in the area.

There will be a session July 18 that will cover vegetable multi-cropping at Red Barn Farm/Wyckels Farm, 212 NW Bucklin Ct., Bremerton. Another session is scheduled for August 8 on urban farming at Start Now Gardens, 1134 Bloomington Ave., Bremerton. Both farm walks are from 6 to 8 p.m. and are open to individuals and children older than 12 years. The cost is $15 per family and pre-registration is requested.
