KITSAP QUILTERS: Kitsap Quilters will host Its Rainin Quilts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 15 and Feb. 16 at Presidents Hall at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds. The quilt show will have featured artists, a cafe, demonstrations, a quilt raffle, a merchants mall and more than 250 quilts on display. Info: (360) 373-4798.
ONGOING
CHESS: The Kitsap County Chess Club will host games at the downtown Bremerton library from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays during the month of January. Info, (360) 377-3955.
TAX PREPARATION: Tax counseling requires classroom training, to be presented in early January and the successful completion of the IRS certification open book exam. There will be several Tax-Aide sites throughout the county to assist taxpayers from Feb. 1 to April 15. Volunteers are assigned to a site under the leadership of a local coordinator. Ongoing events like group meetings will be included in the Ongoing part of the calendar, which will appear on as space allows basis. Everything else will be listed by date or as Upcoming.
