James G. Herdman Sr., 91

James G. Herdman Sr. died June 25 in Port Orchard. The Bremerton resident was 91.
He was born to William and Sadie (Ward) Herdman in Ballard on June 25, 1917. He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1936.
He married Donne Omack on Jan. 20, 1940 in Renton. She preceded him in death in 2000. Mr. Herdman served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was self-employed his entire life. He was an avid Seattle Mariners fan, an antique collector and loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Herdman was preceded in death by his sisters Louise Wilson and Jackie Root and his brother Bill Herdman Sr.
He is survived by his sons James G. (Diana) Herdman Jr. and Rick (Karla) Herdman of Bremerton; daughters Marianne (Ron) Gavre of Brem-erton, Jackie (Dick) Morey of Port Orchard and Toni (Ken) Money of Brem-erton; sister Lillian “Sys” Wilson; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, June 30 at Lewis Chapel. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
