Program: A Sneak Preview of Great Washington State Birding Trail - Puget Loop

Guest speaker Christi Norman will talk about the final route of the birding trail, scheduled for completion in summer 2011. The Puget Loop map will encompass the best birding spots from Mount Rainier to the San Juan Islands, from the Kitsap Peninsula to Snoqualmie Pass.

Norman started and runs Audubon's Great Washington Birding Trail Program.

More than 250 volunteers have contributed more than 7,500 hours since 2001 to help develop the six maps published to date. In 1955, she helped start Seattle Audubon's Neighborhood Bird Program, a citizen-science effort by 48 volunteers that conduct ongoing Annual Bird Censuses.
