There are many opportunities for children to hunt for sweets and surprises.

Teen Hunt:  April 22 at 9 p.m. Teens (middle and high school-ages) can stay up late hunting eggs with the teen center staff. Bring a container and a flashlight (not a phone) and meet at the Bainbridge Island Teen Center, located next to the grandstands on the high school campus.

Bainbridge Island Spring Egg Hunt: April 23 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Strawberry Hill Park, 7666 NE High School Road. Ages 12 and under. Event includes a costumed bunny, animal petting area, sidewalk chalking, and plenty of treats and prizes in each age group. Hunts begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.

Easter Fun at KiDiMu: April 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Enjoy themed projects and a special all-day egg hunt. Join Peter Rabbit and his puppet friends from the Bainbridge Performing Art’s production of “The Adventures of Peter Rabbit.” 301 Ravine Lane, Bainbridge Island.

Kingston Egg Hunt:  On April 23 the Easter Bunny arrives by firetruck to kick off the hunt, just before 11 a.m. at Kola Kole Park, 11128 NE Maine St. Hosted by Kingston Co-op Preschool and donations are encouraged. Ages 1-11.

West Sound Community Church Easter Egg Hunt: April 23 from 11 a.m. to noon at 2356 Rude Road, Poulsbo. Candy, prizes and baskets. Ages: Walking to 6th grade. Info:(360) 779-9996.

Port Orchard Easter Egg Hunt in the Park:  April 23 at noon at South Kitsap Community Park, 3200 SE Lund Ave.

Poulsbo’s 17th Annual Easter Egg Hunt: April 23 at 1 p.m. at Raab Park, 18349 Caldart Ave. NE. Children ages 1-11 will be divided by age groups, and will enjoy gathering candy and eggs, and exchanging their eggs for prizes.

Manchester Library Children’s Event: April 23, 1 to 4 p.m., 8067 East Main,  Manchester. Play games, make Easter crafts, meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs. Paint a pot, plant a bulb and bring it home. Candy for all. Parent or guardian must accompany children. Info: (360) 871-3921.

Geo Egg Hunt: This is the third year for the easy geo-caching egg hunt. Designed as a calmer alternative for those who wish to avoid the crowds of the big Saturday hunts or just want to hunt for eggs at their own pace. Coordinates go online at 9 a.m. on April 23 at www.biparks.org.
