Another little something is happening in Bremerton, and around the county free outdoor summer concert series.
Every year, for the past probably 14, Jr. Cadillac has kicked off Bremertons free concert series Concerts on the Boardwalk.
That goes unchanged this year, theyll throw down at 6 p.m. July 11. They were supposed to play Kingstons Fourth of July this week, but that show was cancelled. Still, the 38-year-old Northwest favorite will also be playing Port Orchards outdoor concert series at 6:30 p.m. July 17, then two weeks later, Silverdales Whaling Days the night of July 25.
Theyd almost conquered Kitsap for the entire month.
Can you stand it? the band asks on the show calendar of their Web page ?jrcadillac.com.
You know that they can the groups been doing it for years.
Jr. Cadillac is touted as one of the longest-surviving bands in the Northwest. Back in 1984 when the band was featured on the cover of Seattle Times Pacific Magazine, Ned Neltner ?Mr. Jr. Cadillac ?who was 41 at the time, was hailed as the undisputed rock and roll longevity champ of Seattle.
Look at em now ?pushing 40, in band years, and doing just fine.
