Keeping with the week's theme of art that matters (with our feature story on the new film series Matinees that Matter) Seattle author Jeffrey Keenan, a global poverty activist on a multitude of fronts, comes to Bainbridge to discuss one of them — this book which he's co-authored with Shannon Daley-Harris and Karen Speerstra.
Inspired by the bestseller “50 Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth,” “Our Day To End Poverty” offers practical actions anyone can take during the course of a 24-hour day. The 24 short, fact-filled chapters aim to connect each part of the reader’s day — from breakfast to bedtime — with actions that can be taken to help fight global poverty.
