Peninsula Dance Theatre’s 2009 Choreography Showcase, Feb. 28-March 1 at the Admiral in Bremerton.

Celebrating its 35th season, Peninsula Dance Theatre will be showcasing local choreography from members past and present.

While the company typically draws in some big name choreographers for its annual showcase, this year, in honor of its 35th, choreographers within its ranks will be featured.

This year’s choreographers include: Central Kitsap native, former PDT dancer Lara Littlefield, Central Kitsap High School senior and PDT principle Hailey Watters and former professional dancers, now instructors at Bremerton Dance Center and Nicole and Jason Cisler, among others.

Plus, a piece originally designed for PDT in the 1980s by former member Deanna Carter has been restaged, while guest company Whidbey Island Dance Theatre will also present a few.

Peninsula Dance Theatre’s 2009 Choreography Showcase will be at 8 p.m. Feb. 28 (preceded by dinner at 6 p.m.) with a 3 p.m. matinee March 1 at the Admiral Theatre, 515 Pacific Ave. in Bremerton. Info: www.peninsuladancetheatre.org or call (360) 377-6214.
