Bremerton announces homeownership program for city employees

The city of Bremerton is announcing the Hometown Home Loan Program, an employer-assisted homeownership program that provides housing benefits for all city employees.

The Hometown Home Loan Program benefits include reduced closing costs, down payment assistance and free homeownership education. Through the program, the average person can save up to $1,700 in closing costs and fees.

The program will be announced at a press conference at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Norm Dicks Government Center, 345 Sixth St. The announcement will be followed by a homeownership information event for city employees and other local employers interested in employer-assisted housing.
