Powers surges ahead, now leads by 16 votes
Nov 06 2009, 4:55 PM The Port Orchard City Council race between incumbent Carolyn Powers and challenger Cindy Lucarelli ended the week too close to call, with Powers leading by just 16 votes.

In the results posted Friday afternoon Powers had 1,191 votes (49.96 percent) to 1,175 (49.29 for Lucarelli. About 900 votes are left to be counted.
