Nimitz will move to Bremerton in 2015

The USS Nimitz (CVN 68) will move to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton in 2015 for 16 months for a scheduled large-scale maintenance period. Nimitz, currently homeported in Everett, was commissioned in 1975. It weighs 100,020 tons, is 1,092 feet long, and has a ship’s company of 3,200 Navy personnel and an air wing roster of 2,480.

The manner of death was homicide. Officials speaking at a press conference late Aug. 8 didn’t disclose the cause of death.
