Live music, local vendors and a parade for pets and kids are some of the attractions at the first Union Hill Block Party Saturday.

The party will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Veneta Avenue between Ninth and 11th Streets in Bremerton.

It will start with a neighborhood “promenade” for children and pets to dress up in their favorite costumes and march from 10th Street and Veneta Avenue to Kiwanis Park and back. A waterslide, dunk tank, and free crafts and games will start at 11 a.m. Dancing, live music and a DJ will run throughout the day.
