Those wishing to register to vote or submit a change of address by paper or online must do so by Oct. 4.

On that date, voter registration applications and updates must be postmarked or submitted.

Those not registered in Washington can register in person by Oct. 24 at the Kitsap County Auditor’s Office in Port Orchard.

Those who are registered to vote but miss the deadline to update their address can still vote by contacting the county elections office where they are currently registered to obtain a ballot.

Applications and updates submitted after the deadline will take effect after the next election.

To register to vote online, visit www.sos.wa.gov/elections/Default.aspx.
