Bremerton man robs boy in Reagan costume at knifepoint
November 5, 2010 · 4:06 PM
A 21-year-old Bremerton man was arrested Sunday for chasing a juvenile wearing a Ronald Reagan mask at knife point and taking his candy.
At 8:50 p.m., the juvenile boy told Bremerton police he was walking on Ninth Street that evening when a man took his bag of candy and mask at knife point. When police arrived at the scene near Ninth Street and High Avenue, they found two men and one woman sitting in the back of a pickup truck with a Reagan mask on the ground nearby. One of the men told police the other man, the 21-year-old, chased after the masked boy “for no reason,” and took his mask. A knife matching the boy’s description was found in the back of the truck. The 21-year-old was arrested for first-degree robbery and both men were arrested for violating no-contact orders with the 18-year-old woman who was with them.
