UPDATE: Man found dead of gunshot wounds in Bremerton identified

A man found dead of a gunshot wounds in Bremerton Friday following a chase with police was identified as Kyle L. K. Hoapili, 27, with a last known address in Port Orchard.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning. The county Coroner will determine the cause and manner of death.

A statement released Saturday by the Kitsap Sheriff's Office, Bremerton Police and the Washington State Patrol said Hoapili had a state Department of Corrections felony warrant.

The State Patrol is investigating the incident.
