String of holiday mail prowlers and thieves in Kitsap

A resident on the 3900 block of Erlands Point Road NW in Central Kitsap reported Dec. 14 that gift cards had been stolen from her mail, according to sheriff’s reports.
The woman checked her mailbox and found an opened greeting card. She called her sister, who had sent the card, asking if she had sent anything with it. The sister had included five gift cards valued at $20 each for Toys R Us and JC Penney. There are no suspects.
Other reports have been filed with the Sheriff’s Office on mail theft including Kingston and South Kitsap.
