Bremerton police are investigating a Jan. 1 armed robbery on Broadway Avenue where a woman was robbed of $375 cash at gunpoint.

A 49-year-old Bremerton woman told police she was walking from the Sixth Street 7-Eleven to her home in the 700 block of Chester Avenue, where she was moving out, when a car stopped near her on Broadway Avenue, according to Bremerton police reports. A passenger exited the car and pointed a black handgun at her, demanding her wallet. The woman gave the man her wallet, which contained $375 and her debit card.

The man got back in the light blue two-door car, which went west on Sixth Street. Officers speculated the suspect followed her from 7-Eleven, where they saw the cash in her wallet. The vehicle was not located by police.
