An Idaho man cut a Jackson Park woman with a knife Monday after propositioning her in her house with her husband asleep on the couch.

The 23-year-old woman called police at 3:34 a.m., reporting that a friend cut her with a knife and was chasing her with it, according to Bremerton police reports. Officers found three cuts on her upper right arm when they arrived on the scene.

The woman told police that the 25-year-old Idaho man was a longtime friend of her husband’s and was staying at their house in Jackson Park for a few days. That night, the three had been drinking, and after the woman’s 24-year-old husband fell asleep on a couch, the Idaho man made comments about “having” her. The two then argued, and when the woman told him to leave, he picked up a pocket knife on the kitchen table and “swiped” her arm. He chased her outside with the knife while she called 911 on his cell phone. The husband slept through the incident and could not be roused by officers.

When police arrived, the Idaho man refused to cooperate with officers and was hit twice with a Taser before being subdued. He was taken to the Kitsap County jail for investigation of assault, resisting arrest and two counts of harassment.
