Kitsap Transit has made its routes available on Google Transit’s online trip planning tool, the agency announced in a statement Jan. 19.

Google Transit allows riders to enter details of their planned trip and have options of selecting routes with the least number of transfers, or less walking. The system will use Kitsap Transit’s bus and foot ferry routes to determine the most efficient trip for riders. The trip planner is available at www.kitsaptransit.com/tripplanner.html or www.google.com/transit. Riders without internet access can continue to receive assistance planning bus trips from Kitsap Transit Customer Service at 1-800-501-7433.
