Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility will host a career fair at the Kitsap Pavilion at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds in Bremerton from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 28 and 29. The job fair will allow those interested in pursuing careers at the shipyard the chance to learn about the work, while meeting and talking to managers of the various shops, according to a statement.

The employers at the fair are expected to hire new employees throughout the next year.

Backpacks and briefcases will not be allowed into the pavilion. All hand-carried items are subject to search.

The shipyard and facility has sites in Bremerton, Bangor, Everett, San Diego, Japan and wherever its workers go to fix ships. The Bremerton site is the Pacific Northwest’s largest Naval shore facility and one of Washington State’s largest industrial installations.
