A Silverdale woman was arrested for assaulting her husband and biting through her 12-year-old son’s ear Feb. 5 after coming home drunk.
When sheriff’s deputies arrived at the 1000 block of Northwest Cloninger Court after 1:30 a.m., the 29-year-old husband said he was asleep when his 27-year-old wife came home intoxicated and demanded that he leave, according to reports from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office. She then began to hit and scratch him. He had several scratch marks on his chest and body with dried blood. She threw several items around the house, causing significant damage.
When the couple’s 12-year-old son came downstairs to find out what was going on, the woman bit him through the ear, puncturing it and drawing blood. The man and his son went to his parents’ nearby house, leaving two children behind with his wife.
When deputies examined the boy, they found in addition to his punctured ear, he had bruised and swollen cheeks and a puncture wound and bruising on his left arm in the shape of an open mouth. He had several scratches on his face and eyes.
The woman was taken to Kitsap County jail for assault of a child, fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief.
