February 11, 2011 · Updated 1:00 PM
A Kitsap Mall custodian reported being threatened with a gun Feb. 3 in the mall’s men’s bathroom.
Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies contacted the custodian after 6 p.m., according to reports from the sheriff’s office. The man told deputies he walked into the men’s restroom and saw four men standing in the back of the room. One of them turned, pointed at the door and said, “Go!” and pulled his jacket up, revealing what the custodian thought was the handle of a gun. He turned and left the bathroom and radioed mall security.
A review of the mall security cameras showed four men leaving the restroom hall behind the custodian shortly after he left the area.
