Crownhill Elementary earns state recognition for excellence
February 25, 2011 · 1:22 PM
Crownhill Elementary School in Bremerton received a 2010 Washington Achievement Award for overall excellence last week.
The award, given by the State Board of Education, is based on Crownhill’s performance according to the Washington Achievement Index, which measures how Washington schools perform in each subject and in low-income and minority groups. Schools whose two-year average scores in the Washington Achievement Index fall into the top five percent of the state’s schools earn the overall excellence award.
Crownhill will be recognized at a State Board of Education ceremony at Lincoln High School in Tacoma April 27.
