Legislators to host Bremerton town hall meetings Saturday

State lawmakers from the 23rd and 26th districts will host two public forums in Bremerton Saturday.
The first meeting will include the three 23rd district lawmakers, Sen. Phil Rockefeller, D-Bainbridge Island, Rep. Sherry Appleton, D-Poulsbo and Rep. Christine Rolfes, D-Bainbridge Island. Their forum will run from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Manette Community Church social hall at 1137 Hayward Avenue. Discussion topics may include state budget and economic issues, ferry service, public safety, environmental protection and education.
The second will include Sen. Derek Kilmer, D-Gig Harbor, and Rep. Larry Seaquist, D-Gig Harbor, both from the 26th district, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Norm Dicks Government Center at 345 Sixth Street. Topics will likely include updates on the state’s operating and capital budget, reports on bills proposed by the lawmakers and higher education. Kilmer and Seaquist will also answer questions from the public.
