Silverdale woman kicks through roommate’s door after being accused of cheating on her boyfriend
A 20-year-old Silverdale woman was arrested Feb. 26 for breaking down her roommate’s bedroom door and threatening to kill her after she told the woman’s boyfriend she was cheating on him.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence in the 13500 block of Huntley Place Northwest in Silverdale after a 18-year-old woman said her roommate broke down her door and threatened her, according to reports from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office. The roommate, the 20-year-old, left in her car.
The 18-year-old told deputies she was in her room with her boyfriend when the 20-year-old came home and beat on her locked bedroom door, shouting, “Get out or I’m going to kill you!” Because of the 20-year-old’s history of assault, the 18-year-old was afraid of being hurt. The 20-year-old tore a basketball-sized hole in the top of the door and then kicked her leg through the door to get into the room.
The 20-year-old was pulled over by deputies at the intersection of Randall Way and Silverdale Way. She told deputies she was mad at her roommate for feeding her boyfriend information that she had cheated on him. She admitted to taking medication for bipolar disorder and depression and has a history of assault and property damage.
The woman was taken to Kitsap County jail for investigation of malicious mischief and felony harassment.
