A 25-year-old Central Kitsap woman was arrested March 10 for obstructing law enforcement and possessing methamphetamine after deputies tried to detain her for outstanding warrants.

A Kitsap County sheriff’s deputy spotted the woman at the East Bremerton AM/PM at 12:30 a.m. and recognized her as someone with outstanding warrants for her arrest for theft, according to reports. The deputy approached her and called her by name, but she denied that was her name. When the deputy tried to arrest her, she resisted and yelled profanities, as if possibly under the influence of narcotics.

After being taken to Kitsap County jail for investigation of obstructing law enforcement and lying about her name, a search of the woman yielded a plastic bag of methamphetamine from the woman’s bra, which she claimed was “vitamin C.” Methamphetamine possession was added to her charges.
