State science fair in Bremerton has record number of participants

The Washington State Science and Engineering Fair brought together a record number of 463 students who competed at Bremerton High School April 2. The fair, in its 54th year, had a 40 percent increase in participation compared to last year. Students from grades 1 through 12 represented 17 counties and 107 schools. Approximately $1.6 million were awarded to students at the fair in the form of trophies, prizes and scholarships.
