Bremerton boy packs airsoft gun to school
April 28, 2011 · Updated 1:55 PM
A boy at Crownhill Elementary School had his airsoft gun confiscated by the school bus driver April 19 after another student spotted it in the boy's bag.
The bus driver found the airsoft gun in the child's backpack on the ride home after school and confiscated it. The boy did not turn over pellets when the driver asked for them.
When police asked the boy why he brought the gun to school, at first he responded that he did not know and began crying. Then he admitted that it was so he could show it to a friend. The 40-year-old father of the boy told police that the pistol was "inoperable" and that there was no instruction manual or ammunition for it.
