The state Department of Natural Resources is scheduled to hold a community workshop from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 at the Silverdale Community Center, 9729 Silverdale Way NW to take feedback on recreation plans for Green Mountain State Park.

The department wants to learn how long-term recreation planning on state trust lands in Kitsap benefit the community and would like public input.

Green Mountain is a 6,000-acre forest a few miles west of Bremerton and currently has about 13 miles of trails.

More information can be received by calling (360) 902-1430 or emailing mary.coacher@dnr.wa.gov.
