Tibbs files candidacy for Kitsap County Commissioner

Chris Tibbs, the director of sales for Ootopia Coffee Roasters in Bremerton, filed his candidacy for Kitsap County Commissioner last month, according to a statement. The Republican candidate will challenge Democrat Rob Gelder. Gelder was appointed to the position earlier this year after Commissioner Steve Bauer retired.

Tibbs has served as vice chair of the Kitsap County Advisory Budget Committee.
