Charlene Serra, a volunteer at West Hills Elementary School in Bremerton, outlines a fish drawing in the kindergarten wing of the school last week. Serra and several teachers have been working on an undersea mural in anticipation of the school’s switch next year to a STEM academy, focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The school will be the only one of its kind in Bremerton.
