Two Bremerton teenagers had their firecrackers confiscated after setting some off that were illegal July 3.

An officer on patrol saw the firecrackers being lit off at a field on the corner of Cherry Avenue and Sunset Vista Place in Bremerton at about 7:23 p.m. When the officer began to approach the teenagers, they began to walk away from the field but the officer stopped them and asked what they were doing.

The 18-year-old male and 19-year-old female pointed to a box of firecrackers and some bottle rockets in the middle of the field and the officer confiscated them because they were illegal. The teenagers were cooperative and no arrests were made.
