As a result of a “large” last-minute contribution to Whaling Days budget, this year’s fireworks display will be the largest in the events history, according to event organizers.

Ken Perry, Whaling Days vice president, lauded the West Hills Auto Plex for its donation that pushed fundraising hire than anticipated.

“We were down on donation projections,” Perry said. “The community has been great to us, we are happy to help” said Wiler.

The fireworks will be over Silverdale’s Dyes Inlet this evening, Friday, July 29.
