Street art takes to Olympic College
November 17, 2011 · 3:59 PM
There’s writing on the walls at The Gallery at Olympic College. It’s supposed to be that way.
Artists from Seattle and Tacoma painted the walls of The Gallery to showcase traditional and contemporary forms of street art. The Street Art/Graffiti show is on display and the exhibit is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Gallery committee will also host a panel discussion about the culture of street art and its impact on the community. The discussion is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18. Both the exhibit and the discussion are free and open to the public.
The Gallery at OC provides students with training in arts management, display and marketing while presenting contemporary visual arts in Kitsap County.
