Mountain View Middle School students headed to state competitions

While some may assume school competitions to be limited to sports, there are students who are thriving in other areas as well in the Bremerton School District.

Mountain View Middle School will have students performing in the state Youth and Junior Mixed Choirs as well as in the state Junior All-State Orchestra.

Erika Neimoller was accepted to perform in the Junior All-State Orchestra. The group is open to seventh and eighth graders throughout the state and students go through an audition process to be accepted. Neimoller will will play violin with the orchestra at the event scheduled for Saturday, February 17 in Yakima as part of the Washington Music Educators Association convention.

Katrina Jones-Morales and Jax Tull will perform with the state Youth Choir. The choir is made up of about 150 fifth and sixth graders in the state.

McCarrey Wiseman will perform with the state Junior Mixed Choir, which is comprised of about 75 seventh and eighth grade students in the state.
