This past week was one of the slowest in recent memory for the Mike and Courtnee Stevenson and their brood of six children as part of the Editor’s Challenge.

A lone dose of good news arrived this week, which is far better than nothing coming in at all. The weather hasn’t exactly been the greatest for construction, so maybe more people stayed indoors and didn’t make it out to chip in $5 or so.

Hopefully next week will be better. Maybe the Easter bunny will deliver a few golden eggs.

Everyone is invited to the quints’ second birthday party from 5-7 p.m. March 29 at Bremerton’s Skateland. The family asks for no gifts, but donations will be accepted. There will be free admission and skating for all.

This week’s donors are:

• $100 Bill and Ingeborg Seidel

• $100 Anonymous

Total for week ending March 13: $200.00, Running total: $5,347.30.

Checks should be made to the Quint Foundation and can be dropped off at any branch of Kitsap Credit Union or Westsound Bank. For more information on the quints, visit www.stevensonquints.com.
