Expect delays or postpone trips over Snoqualmie Pass today

Drivers headed over Snoqualmie Pass on eastbound Interstate 90 this afternoon should expect lengthy delays and reschedule their trips or choose alternate routes if possible.


I-90 is reduced to one lane in each direction between Hyak and Keechelus Lake Snowshed while crews finish paving the transitions between the existing freeway and a new wider section. All lanes were scheduled to reopen by 7 a.m. Friday, but crews were unable to complete the work overnight. Today, progress has been slowed by rain and a stalled . Crews expect to open all lanes to traffic by 5 p.m.
