Culvert repair requires continued right lane closure of southbound SR 3 in Bremerton

November 20, 2012 · 3:22 PM

Emergency culvert repair work on southbound state Route 3 at Kitsap Way in Bremerton will require the right lane to remain closed through at least tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 21. One southbound lane remains open to motorists.

Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews closed the lane yesterday when they discovered that a failed culvert under the road was undermining the right shoulder.

Crews will work around the clock in hopes of reopening the lane in time for the holiday weekend.
