Council sets goals for 2008

The Bremerton City Council recently released its goals and priorities for the upcoming year as the city moves ahead with its revitalization efforts.

The goals are:

• Increase basic services funding including street paving, public safety and maintenance of parks.

• Build trust and support of the voters.

• Increase economic development efforts.

• Continue annexation and Growth Management implementation.

• Increase affordable housing/home ownership.

• Develop a city energy policy.

• Develop a legislative agenda.

• Improve facilities/property management.

• Secure funding for the Boardwalk.
