Everybody has to eat, and now your need can feed programs supported by the Armin Jahr PTA. The PTA held an in-store registration event at the East Bremerton Safeway at 1401 NE McWilliams Road on Oct. 13, inviting shoppers to register their Safeway Club Cards with Armin Jahr through the eScrip program. Now every time those shoppers use their club card at Safeway a percentage of their purchase will go back to the school.

“We want to thank Safeway for their hospitality and help with this event,” said PTA president Jamie McMartin. “Store manager, Brad Marler was so helpful in getting us set up and making sure we were taken care of for the day. We appreciate Safeway’s involvement with the eScrip program that makes fundraising for our school so easy. Their generosity really does benefit the children of our school and community.”

Even though the registration event is over, you can still take part by logging on to www.escrip.com and signing up as a supporter of Armin Jahr Elementary School (or many other local schools). Besides registering your Safeway card, you can register debit and credit cards to benefit the school through many other purchases as well.

“At Armin Jahr our PTA helps provide scholarships to an outdoor education program at IslandWood on Bainbridge Island,” said principal Mike Sellers. “The cost would be prohibitive without the PTA. They also help support field trips, academic enhancement and family nights.”
