Banner to honor Kitsap Sailor

A Gold Star Banner will be hung in honor of Naval Base Kitsap Sailor Master-at-Arms Second Class Sean Brazas, who was killed in action on May 30, 2012 in Afghanistan.

The ceremony will be held on January 11, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the intersection of Randall Way and Kitsap Mall Blvd. in Silverdale, Washington.

Attending the ceremony will be The Honorable Patty Lent, Mayor of Bremerton. Naval Base Kitsap Commanding Officer, Captain Pete Dawson, Executive Officer, Captain Christopher Carter, and Command Master Chief Sean Peirsel will also be in attendance.

This banner was funded by the Chief Petty Officers of Naval Base Kitsap. One half of the banner will feature a Gold Star for MA2 Sean Brazas, and the other half will feature a blue star for YN2 Allie Brazas, who is active duty and currently stationed at Naval Base Kitsap.
