Woman injured in Highway 3 crash

A Shelton woman was injured when she drove off Highway 3 north of Shelton late Saturday and struck a utility pole.
The Washington State Patrol said Melinda L. Pentz, 51, was driving north in a 2007 Kia Spectra when she began driving erratically and went off the right side of the road and struck a pole near Ecler Road. The accident occurred about five miles north of Shelton just before midnight Saturday.
Pentz was taken by an aid car to Mason General Hospital.
The vehicle was totaled. State Patrol said drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash. The accident is under investigation.
