Manette Bridge to close for repairs June 23-28
July 4, 2008 · Updated 10:13 AM
Repair work will require the closure of the Manette Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, June 23 through Saturday, June 28.
Crews will be doing work to reinforce girders on the bridge. A complete closure of the bridge is necessary because the 1930 structure is too narrow for traffic, equipment and the work crew to be on the bridge at the same time.
A project to replace the bridge is scheduled to begin in 2010 with a 2012 target date for completion. About 12,000 vehicles cross the Manette Bridge each day.
