A group of dowtown business owners are steamed because they feel left out of the loop on the Bremerton Transportation Access Project, commonly referred to as the tunnel project.

The Bremerton School District is putting together a feasibility study on closing one of its elementary schools to save money.

Greg and Deborah Meakin will appear in Kitsap County Superior Court on Friday morning for a receivership hearing. The hearing will determine whether or not the court will appoint an independent third party to oversee the company's books while foreclosure proceedings occur. Meanwhile, ice arena professionals concur that for an ice arena to open in debt is not an unusual situation.
