It’s time to eat

After nearly 18 months without on-board food service on Washington State Ferries, the galley on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle run reopened Thursday morning.

Food returned to the M/V Wenatchee Thursday. The M/V Tacoma followed on Friday. The next route scheduled for service is the Kingston-Edmonds run, and then Seattle-Bremerton.

Nove Meyers, president of food vendor Olympic Cascade Services, had no firm date for the completion of the service, but hoped it would all fall into place by June 15.

The two obstacles are installing the proper refrigeration units — which is to be done by the WSF
