Picking the perfect pumpkin

Donning a bright yellow rain jacket and red rubber boots, 4-year-old Nicholas Gyllensten of Poulsbo tediously searched the pumpkin patch at Pheasant Fields Farm in Silverdale on Thursday, gazing over rows and rows of orange before spotting a pumpkin that was just perfect for carving.
Its our favorite local pumpkin patch, said his mom Kelly as she helped carry the heavy pumpkin to the scale.
