Severe weather shelter program open this week

Due to expected freezing temperatures, the Kitsap County Severe Weather Shelter Program has been activated. The shelter will open through Friday night. Hours of operation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. Guests will not be able to check into the shelter after 10 p.m.

The shelter is located at: Bremerton Food Line on 1600 12th Street in Bremerton.The shelter will serve all residents in the area who require safe overnight refuge where none is available.
