A 27-year-old man found dead inside his Bremerton home Monday afternoon committed suicide, according to the Kitsap County Coroner’s Office.

The man died from a gunshot wound to the head, Coroner Greg Sandstrom said.

Bremerton police responded to the 800 block of Pacific Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. Monday to investigate a domestic violence incident. Construction workers on a roof across the street from the residence heard yelling and a loud crash, prompting them to call police, Bremerton Police Department’s spokesman Andrew Oakley said.

While the officers were in the house conducting their investigation, they heard a single gunshot from within the residence and located the deceased man. No other injuries were reported.
